Proceeding with a landline / non-smartphone
If you don't have a cell phone, or don't have a "smartphone" you can use the steps below for setting up Duo. This also serves as a good secondary device for your account. Learn about how to set up additional devices here.
While you may setup a non-smartphone or a landline, a smartphone or a tablet with the Duo Mobile app offers the best user experience. However, if that is not an option for you, then proceed with the steps below.
Visit the MyIWU Portal, or click on the invitation link you received from "Duo Security".
On the setup screen, select either:
1. If you're going to use a "Non-smartphone" or..
2. If you're using a landline phone
Enter the number you'd like to use, then check the box indicating you've double checked the number.
If you're setting up a non-smartphone you'll need to choose "Other" on the next screen:
After that, you should have your landline or non-smartphone joined to Duo.
