Sample Alert

This alert is a sample to be used as a reference for creating new alert documentation.  It is a reference document. Most of the regular stuff in a reference document will be removed or re-labeled for readability. Note that the summary section is created last and contains the purpose of the alert.

Identification

This is how to identify a problem really exists when this alert is received.

Resolution

This is how to resolve the underlying issue.  This can be split into two sections if applicable, automated and manual.

Automated steps

The alert will automatically try these steps to resolve the issue.

Manual steps

These steps have been identified as possible solutions that haven't been automated yet.

Result

This is how to identify that the problem has been fixed.

Escalation

This is what happens when the problem hasn't been resolved in a timely manner.
