Creating a Web Part for a Library or List


Explains how to create a web part that will display a library or list on your portal site.


  1. Navigate to your site.
  2. Click [Site Actions] and then [Edit Page]
  3. Choose the zone in which you would like to put your web part (i.e. Left Column, Center Column, etc.) and click [Add a Web Part] in that zone.


  1. In the Lists and Libraries category, select the list or library you would like to add to your home page and click [Add].
