Email Signature Setup Outlook 2016 (Mac)

 


Setting up the Email Signature

To set up the email signature in Outlook 2016 for Mac, please follow these instructions:

  1. With Outlook open, click on Outlook on the menu bar in the upper left corner.
  2. Select Preferences... and then Signatures.
  3. Click on the plus symbol under Edit signature.
  4. On the right side, under the Signature box, type in your signature with the structure found at the bottom of this page.
  5. Highlight your name, right click on it, and select Font...
  6. Choose Arial for the font and 10 for the size.
  7. Click on the Font Color drop down menu and select More Colors...
  8. Click on the slider tab (2nd from the left) and choose the RGB Sliders option from the down menu below it.
  9. Enter these values for the following sliders:
    • Red: 181
    • Green: 9
    • Blue: 56
  10. Click Ok twice and you should notice the name appears in IWU Red.
  11. Highlight the phone and fax numbers and repeat steps 5-10.
  12. Highlight the text between the name and phone number lines, right click on it and select Font...
  13. Choose Arial for the font and 10 for the size.
  14. Click on the Font drop down menu and choose More Colors.
  15. Enter these values for the following sliders:
    • Red: 98
    • Green: 100
    • Blue: 102
  16. Click Ok twice and the text will appear in IWU Gray.
  17. Highlight the last line of the signature, right click, select Fonts... and repeat steps 12-16.
  18. Under Choose default signature: choose the newly created signature for the New messages: and Replies/forwards: drop down menus.

 

After following these steps, the signature will be setup.  You will need to review the Signature Checklist to verify it follows the correct guidelines.
