Outlook 2010 Email Formatting

In order to setup your email formatting in Outlook 2010 to comply with the guidelines in the IWU Visual Identity Manual, follow the instructions below. 

Email Signature Instructions

  1. Click on the File menu in the upper left-hand corner.

  2. Click the options button.
  3. Select the "Mail" section in the left-hand column.
  4. Click the "Signature" button on the right-hand side.
  5. Click the "New" button and enter a name for your new email signature (example: "IWU Signature") or select an existing signature you would like to replace.

  6. Type your signature in the textbox.
  7. Change the font to Arial and the size to 10. 
  8. To set the color, click the color drop-down menu and choose "More Colors". Select the "Custom" tab and enter the values for Red, Green, and Blue.
    1. For IWU Red, use Red = 181, Green = 9, and Blue = 56.
    2. For IWU Grey, use Red = 98, Green = 100, and Blue = 102.

Other Email Formatting

To set the default font, follow these steps:

  1. Click on the File menu in the upper left-hand corner.
  2. Click the Options button.
  3. Select the "Mail" section in the left-hand column.
  4. Click the "Stationary and Fonts" button on the right-hand side.
  5. Click the "Theme" button, select "(No Theme)" and click OK.
  6. In the "New email messages" section, click the Fonts button.
    1. Select "Georgia" from the list of fonts.
    2. Select "Regular" from the list of font styles.
    3. Select "12" as the font size.
    4. Make sure that the font color is set to Automatic or Black.
  7. Repeat the same steps in the "Replying or forwarding messages" section.
