Outlook- (Office 2007, 2010)


This guide explains how to setup your IWU MyEmail account in the Outlook application.

Before completing these steps you should first be able to sign into your Outlook.com account. If you need assistance with this process please follow this guide: Sign into Outlook.com


First Step

First we need to access Windows' Email setup screen. 

  1. Click on the Start button in the lower left corner of your screen

  2. In the search box at the bottom of the menu type: mail

  3. Locate the control panel icon in the search results and click on it

Second Step

Once on the "Mail" screen follow these steps.

  1. Click on “Email Accounts”

  2. Click on New

  3. Click Next

  4. Check “Manually configure server settings or additional server types” and click Next

  5. Check “Internet E-Mail” and click Next

  6. Enter your information

    • Name

    • Email Address: FirstName.LastName@myemail.indwes.edu

    • Account Type: IMAP

    • Mail Server: outlook.office365.com [Both Incoming and Outgoing if available]

    • Username: FirstName.LastName

    • Password

  7. Click "Next"

Test your account by launching outlook and your email should begin populating after a couple of minutes.
