Windows 8 Mail App


Set up your @myemail account in the Windows 8 Mail.


After completing this tutorial you will have your mail synching with the new Windows 8 mail app.


1. Open up your Start Screen. This can be accomplished by clicking on the bottom left hand corner of the screen, or pressing on the windows key. Then, Click on the "Mail" Icon.

The first time you launch Mail, you will have to sign in using a valid Microsoft ID. More information on this can be found here:

2. Once you have signed in the app, you can add your student email account by selecting "Outlook" in the bottom left hand corner. 

*If you already have an account setup and are trying to add your student email as a second one, open up the Charms menu (by pressing Win key+C, or going to to the upper or lower right hand corner of the screen) and clicking on Settings, and  selecting "Accounts".

3. Enter your student email address and password. Click on 'Show More Details" once you have filled it in.

4.Finish entering all the information as shown below, then click connect.

5. Make sure to click on "Enforce these Policies" when the Make my PC more secure pops up. Your email should now populate in the app for you.
