Indiana Wesleyan University email accounts are created at the request of departments affiliated with the University. They are activated and retired according to the account type. In addition they are to be used with the guidelines established for acceptable use. The policy contains a list of the current structure.
Traditional Students (CAS):
Traditional (CAS) students receive a @student.indwes.edu account at the request of Admissions or Records. These accounts may be used by the student while they are enrolled at the University. Thirty days (30) after the completion of their connection with IWU (graduation, withdrawal, or transfer) their exchange mailbox will be closed. This means the student may continue to log on to view grades online but will not be able to send or receive email messages.

Traditional (CAS) and Non_Traditional (CAPS) students receive a @myemail.indwes.edu account at the request of Student Services. These accounts may be used by the students throughout their association with IWU. At their graduation the students email account will remain active and be assigned Alumni status.
Non-Traditional Students (CAPS):
Non-Traditional (CAPS, CGS, DOL, etc.) students receive a @myemail.indwes.edu account at the request of Student Services. These accounts may be used by the students throughout their association with IWU. At their graduation the students email account will remain active and be assigned Alumni status.
Employees receive a @indwes.edu account at the request of Human Resources. They may use this account following the guidelines for Employee Usage of Email Accounts until their employment is terminated. At the point notification of termination is received the employees account is disabled.
CAS Faculty receives a @indwes.edu account at the request of Human Resources. When the Faculty member leaves IWU employment the exchange mailbox will be removed from their account and their account disabled. If they are also CAPS faculty the account will remain active until that position ends.
AGS (CAPS,CGS, etc.) Faculty receives a @agsfaculty.indwes.edu account at the request of Faculty Services. When the faculty member leaves IWU employment the exchange mailbox will be removed from their account and the account disabled.
Employees who retire from Indiana Wesleyan may request continuation of their email accounts. These requests need to be authorized by the HR department.
