HR Legal Hold Procedure

Purpose

This policy is to be followed any time we are contacted by Human Resources to hold a computer or user data for a legal purpose.

Procedure

These steps are to be followed once HR has notified us of a legal hold.

 

  • Notify Bill Maki, Security Administrator
  • Bring the computer to ITS
  • Remove the HDD
    • Install new HDD in the original machine
    • This machine can then be imaged and put back in to circulation
  • Deliver the HDD to Bill Maki for storage
