Full-time employees are eligible for a University-paid long-term disability (LTD) plan after completing one year of employment, unless the employee had an active LTD policy from the previous employer.
The benefit pays 60% of covered monthly earnings after a 90-day elimination/waiting period.
Once an employee is eligible for total disability benefits, an involuntary separation from service will occur. A summary of this program, applications for coverage, and additional information are available from the Human Resources Department.
This policy applies to all the employees of the University.
