Use of University Buildings

Policy

During the academic year, most university buildings are officially open during each work day from 8:00 a.m. until 10:00 p.m. At all other times, the outside doors are locked to protect the buildings from unauthorized use. The campus is patrolled by professional public safety officers who check the exterior and interior doors as well as those persons using the buildings after hours. Employees are not to be in buildings after scheduled working hours without the written permission of the supervisor. Please be especially careful to lock and check doors as you exit a secured building, close windows and turn out lights and adjust thermostats as appropriate.

Scope

This policy applies to all the employees of the University.
