Business Continuity Plan - File Storage (SAN)

Synopsis

File Storage (SAN) involves multiple servers.  Included in this document are RED, OPAL, and PURPLE.  AMETHYST and BERYL are also attached to the SAN but documented under the business continuity plan for DATATEL.  ONYX is attached to the SAN and is listed under EXCHANGE documentation.  The recovery steps included here would also cover problems with the HBA on AMETHYST, BERYL and ONYX.

                              Short Term Recovery Plan:

                                             If HBA is the problem we would need to replace the HBA.  If the                                                      problem is the motherboard on the server we would                                                                            temporarily pull the HBA and install it in another physical                                                            server.

                              Long Term Recovery Plan

                                                                           The server or the HBA would need to be replaced.
