IT can't change a student's name at the request of a student without verification from either Registrar's office or Student Services
Upon receipt of a request from those groups the following need to be checked
In Colleague's DRUS user.id record needs to match the new name - this forces the change to the existing AD record
In Active Directory check the new record. In the properties for this account make sure all of the changes have occurred. Double check the account tab and the existing email address to make sure the changes have been made in all areas.
Name change takes place right away but BLACKBOARD and email will take longer to update.
