Name Change Process for CAPS Students

Steps

  • Student Services receives confirmation of name change from student.
  • Student Services enters info into Colleague by running account creation process (XCUA) in Colleague including changing email address in NAE and DRUS record user.id.
  • An email is sent to SYSADMIN/Identify management .  This notice includes the ID number of the student, the old name(user.id) and the new name.  In addition Colleague has sent an “Already Existing List” for these same students. 
  • SYSADMIN will "rename" the existing  account in Active Directory.  This will allow continued use of the same account.

2012-09-14  These instructions have been reviewed by Student Services.  The instructions are created for the new processes recently developed.
