Problem with Phone Going UP/DOWN (Cisco Switch)

Problem:

If a phone is going UP/DOWN on a Cisco switch, it may be that the POE signaling or POE requirements from some vendors may not be 100% to standard.  We had problems in Naperville with a Polycom IP450  phone going into an UP/DOWN state.

Information:

The exact syntax of the command and command verbs available will depend on the version of IOS on the Cisco switch.
