Windows Vista IWU-Secure Wireless

Introduction

This will walk you through setting up your Windows Vista computer for the IWU-Student wireless network.

  1. Click on the Network icon in the system tray.

  1. Click Wireless networks are available.

  1. Click IWU-Secure, and then click Connect
  2. Click Close.
  3. Click on the Network icon in the system tray again.
  4. Click iwunet.indwes.edu (IWU-Secure).
  5. Click Manage wireless networks.
  6. Double-click IWU-Secure.
  7. Make sure the first three boxes below are checked.
  8. Click on the Security tab.
  9. Click on the down arrow next to WPA-Enterprise.
  10. Select WPA2-Enterprise.

  1. Click Settings… next to Protected EAP (PEAP).

  1. Uncheck the box next to Validate server certificate.
  2. Click the Configure button

  1. Uncheck "Automatically use my Windows logon name and password".

  1. Click OK 3 times.
  2. The system will reconnect with the new settings.  You are now connected securely to the IWU-Secure wireless network.
