Introduction

This will walk you through setting up your Windows Vista computer for the IWU-Student wireless network.

  1. Click on the Network icon in the system tray.

  1. Click Wireless networks are available.

  1. Click IWU-Student, and then click Connect

    .

  1. Click Close.

  1. Click on the Network icon in the system tray again.
  2. Click iwunet.indwes.edu (IWU-Student).

  1. Click Manage wireless networks.

  1. Double-click IWU-Student.

  1. Make sure the first three boxes below are checked.
  2. Click on the Security tab.

  1. Click on the down arrow next to WPA-Enterprise.
  2. Select WPA2-Enterprise.

  1. Click Settings… next to Protected EAP (PEAP).

  1. Uncheck the box next to Validate server certificate.
  2. Click the Configure button

    .

  1. Uncheck "Automatically use my Windows logon name and password".

  1. Click OK 3 times.
  2. The system will reconnect with the new settings.  You are now connected securely to the IWU-Student wireless network.
