Student email access

First Step

  1. Log into the portal (https://myiwu.indwes.edu) using your current username and password. (Need help logging into the portal? See Portal Login.)
     
  2. Next, use the portal's Change Password link to change your password.
    1. Click on your name in the top right.
    2. Then click Change Password.
    3. This step is required in order to activate your IWU email account. When you change your password in the Portal, it will also change the password for your new Office 365 email account.
       
  3. After creating a new password, log out of the portal (https://myiwu.indwes.edu) using the button at the top right, and log back in with your new password.
    1. This ensures that your new password is working correctly, and has synced with Office 365

Second Step

  1. To login to your email account, use the link on the right probably labeled You have no New Messages.
    1. You will be taken to Office 365 and automatically signed in.

       

      Note:
      If you are already logged in with a personal email account (e.g. name@hotmail.com), you will have to log out first. Click on “Logout” or “Sign in with a different account” in order to access your IWU email account

       
  2. If you are prompted for a username and password:Enter your entire IWU email address as the username (example: john.doe@myemail.indwes.edu) and the password that you created in Step 2 and click on Sign In.
     
  3. After successfully logging in you will be prompted to personalize your account by providing some requested, identifying information
     
Note:
You do not need to “sign up” for a new account because your IWU email account has already been created.
