First Time Logging in to a Brightspace Admin Account

Once your request is approved and your Brightspace admin account is created, you will receive an email notification. The email will contain a link to this KB article.

Before you can log in to your Brightspace admin account for the first time, the system requires you to create a password and enable two-factor authentication for the admin account.

Instructions

Your Brightspace admin account is created without a password. Therefore, you must set the password yourself before you can log in. Please navigate to the Password Management for Brightspace Admin Accounts article and follow its Instructions section, as the only way to set your password is via the "forgot your admin password?" link.

After you set your Brightspace admin account's password, you will have to enable two-factor authentication when you go to log in to the account for the first time. Please navigate to the Enable Two-factor Authentication for Brightspace Admin Accounts article and follow its Instructions section.
