Exam Enhancement Features

Exams are a common way of reviewing what students have learned over a portion of a class. Proctoring online exams can be very different from doing so in classroom; however, the following pages can be used for more information as well as the exam enhancements now available.

This set of enhancements includes: an easy-to-use QTI exam package upload tool, randomized distractors in multiple choice (MC) and many multiple choice (MMC) questions, as well as the ability to display previous answers to students when they retake a multi-take exam.

QTI Exam Package Upload

With this release, instructors can upload WPS, TestGen and Respondus packages in QTI format using the exam authoring tools. To access this feature follow the directions below.

  1. Make sure to be in Author mode
  2. Click on the test, exam, quiz
  3. Click on Exam Package Upload tab

  1. Click Import

  1. Choose the package type by pulling the drop down and browse your computer for the file.

  1. Click on Status to view the status of the imported file.

Randomized Distractors

Until this enhancement multiple choice (MC) and many multiple choice (MMC) question types presented the answer/distractors in a fixed order. Now, the answers/distractors can be presented in a random order for each student.  Instructor controls are found in the tool box. To use this feature follow the directions below.

  1. Make sure to be in Author mode
  2. Click on the test, exam, quiz
  3. Click on Toolbox
  4. Scroll down to Options
