Attention Bachelor’s Degree Students:

Degree Completion Plan & Degree Audit Meeting with your advisor is required for bachelor’s students who have over 60 credits towards their program.

Your Anticipated Completion Date displayed in the Self-Service Portal is an estimate and may not reflect additional general education requirements, electives, transfer credits, or other degree requirements. Your Academic Advisor can provide you with the most accurate anticipated completion date.

Most bachelor's degree programs require additional elective courses to meet the total credit hours required for graduation. During your advising meeting, you will review your Degree Completion Plan and Degree Audit to ensure you understand your remaining degree requirements, select any necessary elective courses, and stay on track for graduation.

Once you have completed 60 or more credits, your Academic Advisor will send an email to your MyIWU account with your Degree Completion Plan and a link to schedule an advising appointment.

Be sure to check your MyIWU email regularly for this information. You can also visit the Academic Advising page to learn more about how to connect with your Academic Advisor.

Online Student - Schedule Changes

Course Registration Process

Course registration for new online students is completed at the time of admission once all financial requirements have been satisfied. After enrollment, students should connect with their Academic Advisor to review their degree plan and ensure they are registered for the appropriate courses needed to complete their degree or certificate program.

Course Changes

Academic Advisors are available to help you understand your options when considering changes to your course schedule or academic program. Before dropping a course, you are strongly encouraged to speak with your Academic Advisor so you fully understand the academic, financial, and program implications based on your individual circumstances.

Registration Change

The Registration Change Team is responsible for processing course adds, drops, and other schedule changes. Your Academic Advisor can help you understand the registration change process, discuss how a change may impact your academic plan, and connect you with the Registration Change Team to complete your request.

Additional information on your progress and course changes is found on the Responsibilities & Expectations Student Portal Page.
