CloudCard

What is CloudCard?

CloudCard is an online photo submission software designed specifically for ID card systems, eliminating the need for long student lines and streamlining the photo collection process.

How does CloudCard work?

The process follows six main steps:
1. Initial Upload: Card office uploads cardholder email addresses and ID numbers
  • Automated Communication: System sends automated emails from the card office email address
  • Secure Access: Students receive unique, secure one-time login links
  • Photo Submission: Students can upload photos or take selfies
5. Review Process: Card office reviews photos (or uses "Helper Bot" for automated approval)
6. Download: Approved photos can be downloaded with one click

Our Implementation

IWU is using the app to submit and approve ID photos.

  • Photo id cards with the student id in barcode format are given out to N&G students at remote locations as necessary
  • The photos are also synced to our file share at \\iwufiles\common\IDIMG for use by our campus security system AccessIT and other connected systems including Colleague.
  • We do not use the mobile ID part at this time as it is not feature complete for mobile use by all students.
