Data Center Access Policy
Purpose
To control access to the Indiana Wesleyan University enterprise Data Center.
Policy
The Indiana Wesleyan University Data Center is a limited access site. Only IT, Facilities, or Campus Safety personnel requiring regular access to the Data Center will be supplied with card access.
Visitor access is restricted to IT Staff, vendors, or service personnel. These individuals must be escorted and monitored by authorized personnel. They also must sign the "Server Room Access sign-in Sheet". This list will include date, name, company, reason for entry, time-in and time-out.
All tours must be authorized by either the CIO of Information Technology or a member of the Systems Administration team. Visitors touring the Indiana Wesleyan University Data Center must be accompanied at all times by authorized IT personnel.
Rules:
- Absolutely no photos or videos may be taken inside the Data Center.
- No food or beverages inside the Datacenter.
- The Data Center door must be closed and locked except when entering or exiting.
- No custodial service will be used in Data Center.
Scope
This policy will apply to all visitors to the Data Center
