Attendance Radar Faculty Guides

This guide provides instructions for faculty members using Attendance Radar. International Student Program (ISP) residencies require a reportable attendance system.

Attendance Radar Trainer Manual - Updated June 2024

Quick Start Guide

Faculty will need to install the Attendance Radar app from their App Store or Play Store. Once the app is installed, they will be prompted to sign in using their IWU credentials after selecting Indiana Wesleyan University as the institute (First picture).

For faculty, the Courses page will show a list of courses available within the app (First picture). If you do not see your course listed, check the filter settings across the top. Once you select a course, you can choose to emit the attendance marker signal (Second picture), or you can manually mark an individual student as present (Third and fourth picture).

Once you start emitting the signal, it will continue to emit for a designated amount of time. Students will only be able to mark their attendance on their app if a faculty member is emitting the signal.

Note that if the device emits the signal, it must stay on the screen showing the signal timer to continue emitting the signal. If you close the app, open another app, or if the device falls asleep, the signal will stop, and students will not be able to mark their attendance.
