- What is the Dock?
- The Dock is the launching pad for Applications on your Mac computer. Any applications you have open will show their icon on the Dock with a dot of light underneath of them. You can set icons for commonly used icons to stay on the Dock even when they are closed by right clicking on the icon while the application is open and clicking on Options then Keep on Dock.
