Presentation Software Tips
Overview
Power Point, Keynote, Pro Presenter, Media Shout, and other presentation software can do amazing things, and often the simple features aren't commonly known. This is a collection of tips to aid in the use of those applications.
How to Temporarily Hide a Slide
Power Point
Shortcut keys to use during a presentation (press once to enable, press again to disable):
B makes the screen entirely black (a good quick alternative to the Pic Mute, or AV Mute, or Video Mute).
W makes the screen entirely white.
Keynote
B makes the screen entirely black (a good quick alternative to the Pic Mute, or AV Mute, or Video Mute).
W makes the screen entirely white.
H hides the screen
Pro Presenter 6
Press the Clear All button, with a large gray X, in the upper right corner, to entirely clear the screen of text and backgound
Press the Slides button, with a small X, to clear the text, but leave the background
Press the BKGx button, with a small X, to clear the background, but leave the text
Press the Logo button, to replace any text and background with the default or chosen Logo. You can change which image the Logo button displays, by going to Preferences...General Tab...click the down arrow beneath the image next to the words Default Logo, and clicking on Change Logo.
