Call Forwarding in the AVST Voicemail System

 

The First Time You Use Call Forwarding

  1. Contact IWU Support at 765-677-2209 or support@indwes.edu to have call forwarding enabled on your extension
  2. Log in to the Web Phone Manager at voicemail.indwes.edu
  3. Click on “Personal Settings” in the left hand menu and
  4. Choose the “Phone Numbers” tab
  5. Enter a telephone number in “Personal Mobile” and make sure the "Active" checkbox is checked
  6. Click "OK" on the top left to save your settings
  7. In the left hand menu, click on “Availability Settings”
  8. Click on the "Availability States" tab
  9. Select "Mobile" in the top drop down
  10. Set "Location Mode" to Silent
  11. In the bottom drop down box, select "Personal Mobile" (this is the phone number you set up in Step 5)
  12. Click "OK" on the top left to save your settings
  13. Click on the “Availability” tab
  14. Check the “Enable” box
  15. Click “Ok” at the top left and some new options should appear
  16. In the “Availability” drop down box, select the Availability State “Mobile”
  17. Under “Set Expiration”, you can leave it at “Never” or set one of the expiration options (Date and time is probably the best option to set if you know when you’ll be back in the office)
  18. Click “OK” at the top left to save your changes – you’re all set!

The Next Time You Need to Turn on Call Forwarding

  1. Log in to the Web Phone Manager at voicemail.indwes.edu using your extension and the passcode you set up
  2. In the “Availability” drop down box, select the Availability State “Mobile”
  3. Under “Set Expiration”, you can leave it at “Never” or set one of the expiration options (Date and time is probably the best option to set if you know when you’ll be back in the office)
  4. Click “OK” at the top left to save your changes – you’re all set!

Turning Off Call Forwarding

  1. Log in to the Web Phone Manager at voicemail.indwes.edu using your extension and the passcode you set up
  2. Click on the “Availability” tab
  3. In the “Availability” drop down box, select “At my Desk”
  4. Set the expiration to “Never”
  5. Click “OK” at the top left to save your changes
