Meeting Spaces at IWU Regional Education Centers

All of the teaching stations at the education centers have a standard design adherence. The Spectrum cart (commonly called a Smart Cart) securely houses the components, including a desktop PC and either a DVD player or Blu-Ray player, along with a switcher/scaler and audio amplifier. A side-shelf of the cart may hold a Document Camera. The projector and speakers are ceiling mounted. A pull-down projection screen is located at the front of the classroom, above the dry erase whiteboard. A computer monitor displays the selected video source, regardless of whether the projector is on or off.

Cables are located on top of the cart for connecting a laptop with either HDMI and VGA + audio. A network jack or cable is available for connecting a laptop to the internet. A power outlet is available for powering a laptop or mobile devices.

A few classrooms have been augmented with video conferencing equipment. Other centers have mobile video conferencing solutions which can be rolled into a reserved meeting space.
